Brief de Design de Logo
We are Bet Weapon, a soon to be launched New Zealand based sports betting and tipping service. Our clients are hand-picked and can become clients by invite only. Currently, we focus on rugby union, rugby league and cricket in particular. We will seek to have a presence in Australia, America and England in the future. We require a memorable and professional logo design which exerts strength, security and exclusivity.
We are looking for creative ideas which convey our high standards, high accuracy of predictions, thorough and in-depth analysis and passion for our focal sports. Our ideal logo would be easily described as memorable, professional and polished. It must be something which can be associated with low risk (being safe), intellect, strength and security. We have attached some logo examples which we feel exhibit some of these characteristics but not necessarily all.
After consideration and looking at thousands of logos, we have decided that we want our brand to be associated with the Eurasian Eagle Owl (examples attached). We would like the logo to be very assertive. Possibly an Eagle Owl swooping in and grabbing the words "Bet Weapon" from above. We prefer glossy/metallic/shiny and slightly more complex logos over those that could be associated with Clip-Art.
The logo should appeal to males aged over 25 who are sport and/or gambling enthusiasts. The logo should include the words “Bet Weapon”.
The logo should be rendered in the form of a vector image. It will be used both on the web and in print and therefore a variety of resolutions should be provided if your logo is chosen.
Following this project, I will also look to privately work with the successful designer for designing business cards and website buttons which are consistent with the logo.

Hi Designers, some fantastic potential logos have already been submitted and I will get around to providing feedback on each. I also have an idea in mind that I would love someone to bring to life for me. The idea is a golden Eurasian Eagle Owl swooping down with its talons out and grabbing onto the words “Bet Weapon” which would also be in gold. This should be on a black background and the logo should look slightly 3D. The Owl’s face may need to be larger than usual and should have an “assertive or determined” look on its face. To help out I have just updated my brief and attached the colour gold I’m looking for and also some possible poses for the swooping owl.Following this project, I will also look to privately work with the successful designer for designing business cards and website buttons which are consistent with the logo.Kind regards,Oliver Added Saturday, September 9, 2017
UPDATE 12 September 2017Hi Designers,We are overwhelmed and pleasantly surprised by the number and quality of designs we are receiving. We will continue to endeavor to give feedback to each designer on their designs. We have provided a $100 second place payment so that we can at least reward another person for their hard work and persistence.After looking at the first 150+ designs we have the following observations:1. Those that aren’t submitted in either a metallic gold, silver or bronze are not making the cut. Our idea is to use the different colours (gold, silver and bronze) to signify different levels of membership.2. Those that remotely look like Clip-Art are not what we are after.3. Those which do not include the Eurasian Eagle Owl will not be considered.4. We are preferring slightly bolder fonts over more cursive fonts but don’t like them too blocky.5. Contrary to our initial thoughts, we are preferring those designs with a medium level of complexity (not too much or too little detail and largely only one or two colours).6. We are liking those that would be considered professional, assertive and elegant and best of all memorable.7. Finally, any design submission must be unique.
