Hi. I submitted a revised one. Please give feedback/comment and will gladly revise until fully satisfied. Thanks again

Dear Noelopan1955,

Thanks for the rework and for incorporating some of the feedback I gave. Somehow, this design did not connect as much with me as the first one though. Some things that come to mind: the look is not in line with the character (please refer to brief). To me it seems there is rather less than more depth in the design, especially for the character. As well, the character seems too static, and the lighting seems somehow off. Not sure how to better describe. Hope this is useful, if not, please get back to me.
Thanks for your patience. Best,

Yves

Dear Noelopan1955,

From the overall design and feel, I still like your first one best, with the issues being a character not in line with the book content, the lighting not fully working (shadow in the wrong direction?), the spider''s shadow being somehow disconnected and the inset type cover. With the latest one, you followed up on my comment, but it doesn''t click with me as the first one. Are you able to return to your original design in terms of look but still incorporate my comments on the other designs? Again thanks for your patience in this matter, I just begin to notice how difficult it is to bring across subjective interpretation of graphics.
Best,

Yves

Dear jshan,

Very nice, you really followed up on the teen/young adult theme. As none of you knows the exact content of the book, the character would need some tweaking though. Just a little less cool in looks, and more tense / worried about something, possibly in a less static posture. The character should convey anxiety.
The type of presenting especially the author name  - in my feeling - feels too strongly "young teen book". The author should not be the main eye-catcher.
All in all a high quality design with a lot of promise as well. Thanks!,

Yves

Dear R.Sarang,

Thanks for your submission. Very different and really catchy. That being said, i immediately had to think about an adult book. As it is, it will probably appeal more to people above 30 (as me). The focus group is about 15 to 35 though. Not sure if it''s just the type setting and the orange. Do you see any way in making it more "young"? I hope you can follow my explanations, as with the other designs difficult to put into words. I didn''t expect there to be so many different styles by designers, which are all so different and at the same time so interesting...
Best,

Yves
