Brief de Design Graphique
DELIVERABLE: A map of the New York Harbor area with the Williams Pipeline shown.
BACKGROUND: The proposed Williams Pipeline would carry fracked gas across New York Harbor.
My environmental group opposes its construction.
We need to mobilize public opinion and action against it.
DESCRIPTION: I need a map of New York Harbor with the pipeline route clearly indicated.
I have shown the approximate area to be included in your map in the attached document.
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS: Since this is intended to mobilize public opinion, we want the map to feel personal and human-scale. It should not look like a government survey map.
You might also consider including landmarks like the Statue of Liberty, Coney Island and the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. Intent is to show that these areas are endangered by the digging for, and presence of, the pipeline.
