Brief de Design de Couverture de Livre

I need a front cover design for my print and ebook novel. The novel is a fantasy novel about saltwater and freshwater crocodiles.

Two characters are:
A male white (albino) freshwater crocodile (johnstoni) hatchling (30cm long) with blue eyes
A male forest green (deep green) saltwater crocodile (5m long).

The little hatchling is prone to riding atop the salty's head for protection.

The story is a fantasy/mystery novel. The title is "The Ghost And Its Shadow".

Would like predominantly a three colour design. White, black and either blue if the hatchling's eye is used, or a dark shade of green if the salty's displayed (open to other colour ideas too, I just like the white and black as it relates to the ghost and shadow).

Presently I'm using an eye on the cover of my electronic version but would like something different to grab the prospective reader's attention.

Crocodiles are all about stealth so you can hint at their presence without showing them.

Just some ideas: Eyes/skin/ripples in the water/tail fins/teeth/claws etc.
Originally I had the idea of showing the albino freshwater crocodile (the Ghost) in plain view sitting on something unseen, something much bigger and much more dangerous just beneath the surface (the saltwater crocodile, or the Shadow).

Would like it realistic and not cartoony.

I've included two files for an idea of what I like. One is the example of my present ebook cover, just as an example of colour scheme and vibe I'm trying to give off. The other is a saltwater croc silhouette I love and purchased, but unfortunately am not allowed to use for print-on-demand books.

(added another file to do with golden ratio. Tried to design my own attempt at a cover based on golden ratio (google it if not sure what it is) so something to consider about placement of text/image etc).

(added 3 pics of freshwater hatchling (just imagine it with white skin and blue eye) and the green saltwater croc I based my other character on).

The design can be an image I can incorporate with the title and author text myself or it can be a design that includes title and author (ie, a complete cover).

Just regarding dimensions. I need a cover that is in the proportion of 5.25inches x 8.5inches and resolution of 300dpi. All text should be 0.5inches from outer edges. So 1482 x 2400 pixels I think keeps that ratio, thanks.
