Brief de Design de Logo

The provision of safe surgery relies on safe anaesthesia. Globally, the majority of the worlds population does not have access to anaesthesia providers who have undergone rigorous medical and specialist anaesthesia training. Essential medical procedures, such as provision of caesarian section, trauma operations and simple paediatric surgery are often associated with disastrously high complication and death rates.

Through the use of medical simulation, participants will have the experience of patient care but without the risk of 'practice' on real patients. It is a well recognised educational tool in medicine however very few programs are specifically designed and tailored for appropriate implementation in developing nations. The course will cover the essential aspects of safe anaesthesia provision as well as focus on key components of anaesthesia practice such as communication, teamwork and crisis management.

Our program is a novel not for profit initiative, relying on the work of volunteers and underpinned by an ethos of sensitivity, sustainability and utility. Your help in contribution to this vital program will be much appreciated

In addition following logo design, we will need

- a series of related icons that could be incorporated into training materials

The name of the course is Vital Anaesthesia Simulation Training and can be abbreviated to VAST.

We are developing a training program specifically designed for those who are providing anaesthesia in developing nations. This ranges from technicians with very basic training to medical professionals with sub-specialty training in anaesthesia.

We are aiming to develop a course that will establish and reinforce the key components of safe anaesthesia practice for the most essential operations in the worlds underserved populations. Anaesthesia providers in these settings often lack sufficient training, time and access to professional development courses and we hope that this training course will help to raise the safety and standard of anaesthesia care in these settings.
