Brief de Design de Logo

The compass rose is a fundamental design in many paper pieced quilts. I chose the compass rose as my logo and use the tag line below as I am a quilt instructor for several designers. We provide batik fabrics, quilt instruction, consulting services, and quilt related products in a fun, friendly, and stress free atmosphere. Our big point is that WE SPECIALIZE IN BATIK FABRICS.

We want it to come across as an invitation, but specifically we want it to be compelling, and we want it to appear as if WE are the ultimate authority on batik fabric. One of our most valued products is the fun, festive social experience of our shop.

For the font/wording. I do not have any preference. Whatever looks good with the design. However, I will say that calligraphy is too delicate/hard to read, and we don't want it too blocky/thick/bold.

We are looking for an emblem design.

COLORFUL, EXPERT, KNOWLEDGABLE, AUTHORITATIVE, BRIGHT.

Exigences

Doit avoir

• Must have the compass rose. Must have bright colors, but MUST look good grayscale as well. We do want it to be detailed, and not too plain. 4 colors MAXIMUM. The image attached shows a beautifully intricate quilt with a compass rose in the center. We love that. We want it to look modern. Not high-tech or futuristic, but we want it to be clean and organized.

Bien d'avoir

• If it can look good, our slogan is "Guiding You to Beautiful Quilts...." and it could be nice to have it on the logo. However, it's not a huge deal and definitely not required. Just an idea.

Ne doit pas comporter

• The compass rose CANNOT have N,S,E,W, or words for the directions. JUST the rose. We do NOT want this to look old fashioned or vintage.
