Brief de Web Design

We need creative designs for the new Digital Workplace that will replace the current Intranet for an international organization based in Washington DC.

Organization Background: An organization of 189 countries, working to foster global monetary cooperation, secure financial stability, facilitate international trade, promote high employment and sustainable economic growth, and reduce poverty around the world.

Digital Workplace: The Digital workplace will be the central location that allows employees to do their work in productive, simple, and integrated manner.
Knowledge and Information are the lifeblood of our organization. Economists and experts conduct a lot of data-heavy research and produce a lot of reports and documents. The digital workplace will need to facilitate sharing of knowledge and collaboration among employees, and save them the hassle from going to multiple digital locations to do their work. Therefore the seamless integration of systems, and mobile-first design, is key.

Country Missions: A number of our economists travel on "missions" to countries all over the world on periodic basis to meet with country officials, present and discuss findings, and provide consultation. Before they go on missions, these economist do a lot of preparation and research about that country, and they collaborate in teams. When on mission (sometimes in areas that have very limited bandwidth connectivity) they need access to their documents, research, and resources and they need to collaborate with one another. Therefore mobility (iphone, ipad, laptop and desktops) and personalization are very important design criteria. When they are back from their mission they need to document reports and findings, and they will need to work on that through multiple systems.

Design Concept: We attach a concept of the digital workplace homepage (power point slides). The concept offers three views (the three tabs at the top: Enterprise View, Departmental View, and My View.)
The enterprise view is meant to be for all the users in the organization, and displays information that the org want to push to all employees. Not much of personalization is listed in this this view. We only provide the name of potential tiles there. Please be creative and think out of the box, we are open for ideas. The second view is the departmental view. It is meant to focus on the news, events, and information that the department want to share with me as an employee of that department. We only provide the name of potential tiles there. Please be creative and think out of the box, we are open for ideas.
Finally, “My View” is illustrated with sample tiles of what we envision to be used there. We provide two variations for our vision of the “My View”. The tiles that are listed there are not meant to be in that same exact location. Please feel free to change the groupings of these tiles as the page allows (We had to fit our design on 16:9 PPT slide so it’s a not a real page). Also, these tiles are not mean to be restrictive, please be creative and suggest other tiles as you’d envision a modern Digital Workplace. We are open for ideas!

Deliverables: we expect to see at least one creative design per each of these 3 views of the home page for desktop view, and the equivalent in mobile view. In addition we expect any other views/variations that your creativity inspires.

Preferred color pallet: blue, green, orange, and all their gradients. Also open for other colors as your creativity inspires for an established, very mature, and well-respected, international financial organization.

Thank you!
