Brief de Design de Poster
We need a movie poster for an edgy microbudget, drama/thriller feature called Fucking My Way Back Home and is about a “night in the life” of an escort and her driver after she discovers that her mother, who was caring for her daughter, has died. She has just one night to raise the money to cover the arrears on her mother’s mortgage and return to collect her daughter before her very religious aunt calls Children’s Aid. On top of that she has to enlist the help of her new driver who is also very religious and hates her because she’s a “whore”. He is only doing this job because, as a Cuban refugee, he has had to take a job with his uncle, who is head of security at the agency, in order to pay him back what it cost to bring him to Canada. So, at the core of the story is this relationship between two people who hate each other but are stuck together in a car for an entire night. The third character is the uncle - head of security - who becomes increasingly "dark" and violent as the night goes on as he feels he is losing the loyalty of his nephew to a sex worker who is ripping off his boss.
So, that's the backdrop to the story.
Now, we want the poster to reflect that this is a scrappy, edgy little film, a bit controversial (just the title alone, obviously). Some of our inspiration for the poster are the kind of minimalist designs from French New Wave films (examples uploaded). The title itself can either be written out in toto or you could put the acronym in bold letters - FMWBH - with their meaning smaller below it. You can play with it, anyway, to come up with some cool. I've also included stills from the film of the three main characters - Lydia, the lead/star, Hector (her driver) and Alberto, the antaonist/uncle. You can crop these to make them work. I just left them full size so that you'd have more options.
If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask.
