Brief de Design de Logo

Real Intent is looking for a new logo for our software product line "Ascent".

The main color should be blue (any shade), with 1 to 3-4 colors total. The logo should be fairly simple, with the main focus being the word "Ascent" itself. Aside from the name perhaps a conceptual symbol. The font should be easy to read, but not generic. The logo shouldn't be too complex or busy. Our software is expensive and the target is large tech companies, so the logo needs to be
professional / sleek / serious / modern
NOT
playful / wacky / cheap / outdated

Just because we're a tech company that makes software doesn't mean we want our logo to look too "tech". No boxy robotic / cyber fonts, please.

The logo will be used on product pages on our website, in the software itself, at trade shows, on collateral, etc.

I have included three attachments:

1. A screenshot of a current Ascent product page on our website, for an example of where the new logo would be used.

2. A quick / rough sketch of a potential logo concept (you can see I'm not a graphic designer). This is just an idea, not necessarily what we're looking for, we are completely open to the best possible logo with no preconceived notions.

3. The product logo of a competitor in our space, just for the general idea of the type of logo we're looking for, obviously we're not looking to replicate their actual logo!

4. A concept for the "A" in Ascent... feel free to create something along these lines! Maybe the curved line can turn into an arrow? Note the color should be BLUE not red like this concept.

I am more than happy to provide as much feedback as I can.

Also, we need to design other logos and have regular graphics design work that we need done, if we like what we get.
