Brief de Design de Poster

I need a visual design for our new poster - sort of a logo, but something I'll use as the main face of a new musical that can be used for poster, programs and CD releases.

The show is a new youth musical (ages 10-15) called "The Tree Of Life". It tells the story of a tribe in faraway jungle that lives in harmony with nature. Their whole existence is based on the reality that for every human life, there is a tree that grows in synchronicity. If the tree is injured, so is the human. If the person dies, so does the tree. If the tree is cared for, the person thrives. When nature does take its course, both the person and tree will die, but the villagers use the wood from the tree to build their homes. Thus, the ancestors of the village are always "watching over" them, like guardians. At the centre of a village atop a ziggurat (or temple) stands The Tree Of Life which protects the village from outside harm, and also guides the Queen of the village in her decision making. The Queen and the Tree Of Life have a symbiotic relationship, and are the guardians of the tribe.

Musically, the show has lots of African rhythms and instrumentation. I've added to this brief some of the music I've written - they're only snippets of the backing tracks, but it might give you an idea of the style.

To be honest, I don't really know what I'm looking for! I think that dominant colours would be brown, green, yellow, orange - think the African jungle and savannah. Also, I don't want it to look "kiddy" or "childish". I've attached some random google images that may (or may not!) be helpful. I'm not sure if they're suitable, but hey - it's a start!
