Brief de Design Illustration

We are creating a character for a tennis apparel and accessory business. It's a sumo tennis player that we want to create in four tennis poses - hitting a forehand, hitting a serve, hitting a volley and hitting a backhand (one handed backhand.)

The character is very important for us and we'll use a simplified version as a logo but these designs should be large enough to print on a T-Shirt. We will want some lettering of the company name, Sumo Tennis, to go along with this as well.

I'm attaching a bunch of image files that I found appealing but my background in design is limited so these are very general.

• The character has to be engaging and cool. The reaction we need is "wow I love the guy, I want to have him on my shirt!"
• For brand qualities some of the words that come to mind are: powerful but friendly, aggressive but fun, competitive but sportsmanlike, dominating but respectful and not egotistical or self-important. (I know these are all contradictions.)

• Amazing and engaging character in convincing winning tennis poses that convey the qualities above.

Ne doit pas comporter

• Not too fat. We are looking for more of an athletic but still substantial physique.
• No animals.
