Brief de Design de Couverture de Livre

A cover design for a book about a young intelligent and non-mainstream girl struggling with modern days teenage problems:
Friendships and growing apart from childhood friends, uncomprehending parents and divorce, loneliness and isolation, fitting in while betting your self, social "cliques", internet bullying, problematic social media use.
A somehow dark story but with humour. But not a comedy.
The title #AskMe refers to a social media website where teenagers write questions to each other. It's anonymous and some off the questions are very mean, like: why don't you wash your hair more often, you're disgusting. I've been wondering why young people expose them selves to hardcore critics from anonymous haters like that but it seems as if they use it to get affirmation, when some of there friends come to the rescue and defend them on the same site. And as one young girl said: anyway, it's better to be mugged than not to be seen at all.
The anonymous bullying via Ask Me is part of the story but the main story is how to be true to one self while fitting in.
The main character, Liv, is supposed to be 12 going on 13 and a bit fiscally and emotionally behind her classmates. She doesn't wear makeup, she hasn't ever had a boyfriend, while her female classmates - one year her seniors - are experiencing their first love stories, and she feels a bit lonely as she understands that her best friend isn't going to spend Saturday night with her, watching Pride and Prejudice for the tenth time but instead is going to a party wearing makeup and maybe kissing someone for real.
The added illustration is just an inspirational layout idea, I've made it myself but I don't have the rights to the original photo
