Brief de Design de Logo

The Congo Basin Institute (http://www.cbi.ucla.edu/) is a center of higher learning and scientific excellence in Central Africa — generating research that decision makers can use to address sub-Saharan Africa’s interlocking environmental and development challenges. Our goal is to improve scientific research in the Congo Basin by providing training and research opportunities. These are often collaborations between Western and African researchers. Our work focuses on the intersection between conservation and agriculture, and tries to answer the question: how do we feed a growing continent while conserving the Congo Basin’s spectacular biodiversity?

Key words for our organization are: scientific research, Africa, environment, education, and agriculture.

Exigences

Doit avoir

• We would like something clean and timeless, simple and concise. Given our focus on the environment and agriculture, the logo should include green, but can also include other colors. We would like a logo that includes our institute name, preferably oriented in a way that also makes our acronym (CBI) clear.

• The logo could also communicate the concepts of environment/conservation, agriculture/food, and education/research, but not at the expense of simplicity.
