Brief de Design de Logo

We need a modern new logo design for our custom home building company, "Nelson Builders", transitioning to second generation ownership. We are a premiere custom builder focusing on quality and energy efficiency in a mid-range homes. Our logo should be simple enough to draw easily and also recognizable enough that someone familiar with our brand would know us just by the logo. We would also like to attempt to incorporate a "house" shape/reference into the logo if possible and also pay respect to our old logo that has survived 37 years. The logo should incorporate the letter "N" or "NB" if possible into the graphics. We would like a logo without the text "Nelson Builders" and an additional design with the text "Nelson Builders" included.
The "NB_Logo" file is a preliminary design I came up with but could use some modification (or redesign if you are so inclined). The "NB_Logo-Text" shows what I mean by with/without text.
The "SNCI" logo is our original company logo and what we would like to attempt to somehow honor through our new design. We have since changed the name to "Nelson Builders" from our historical name.
