Brief de Design de Logo

I am an interior designer working as an individual in the residential market. I am a subsidiary of our larger building company 'Easier Living Services'. At first I thought my logo should be an offshoot of the building company, but I'm not really fussed now, as long as it's not chalk and cheese. I'd like my logo to be simple but edgy. My target market seems to be the more mature age group and people looking to retire, and my design style is contemporary but classic. I don't want people to think i'm too expensive or too cheap. I'm not aiming to be leading edge or the best, but I want to be approachable and look like I'm professional and clever! The name 'method design' describes me... I'm methodical, a linear person (with an IT background) but have a creative side. I'm not an interior stylist, more an interior architect.
