Brief de Design de Logo

Daily Fee Golf Course in greater Phoenix, AZ market needs an updated logo. Primary purpose of the logo is for embroidery on apparel. It also needs to serve for print and web applications as well. But the merchandise application is the most important.

The existing logo is a poor representation of one of the signature holes at the club. The logo tries to emulate a 3 -tiered tee in the foreground and the mountains in the background.

Updated logo could be a better execution of the existing logo or an entirely new logo. The purpose is to drive retail sales in the golf shop.

Try to avoid the use of overused symbols, such as a silhouette of a golfer, golf club, flag stick or golf ball. Want a strong mark that can stand on its own. Could be a lettermark or wordmark.

It is important to keep in mind that the primary application of this new logo design is for embroidering the mark on merchandise.  The main products are golf shirts and hats.  Additionally, the logo will be used to identify the golf course in media applications - website, print, etc.


When designing for embroidery, it is important that the logo be recognizable in a variety of colors.  Often, the logo is embroidered on shirts that have a color pattern and the logo uses various shades of the shirt colors in what is called a "tone on tone" application.

The more complex the logo, the more difficult it is to embroider.  So a simpler, cleaner design is preferable.
