Brief de Web Design
Using Wordpress and creative license, create an exciting attractive and super interesting website concept that is easy to navigate, educational, fun, youthful, funny, colourful, global, appealing to all age groups and most businesses who have a use for SIGNS.
Products offered are electronic signs, illuminated channel letters, non-illuminated flat cut and molded letters, specialty products, Wayfinding, large format digital printing, volume printing, programs, rebranding, illuminated cabinet type signs and illuminated freestanding signs.
Services include design (to which DesignCrowd could be a link), surveys, permits, installations and maintenance.
National refers to CANADA although USA clients who have requirements in Canada or Canadian clients having requirements in the USA are welcome.
Degree of difficulty here is well appreciated. Winner will be selected on basis of creative appeal and uniqueness as well as the designer being able and willing to provide a turnkey service to get the site up and running with or without the help of a lead website designer in Canada.
Domain is nationalsignlink.ca primary and nationalsignlink.com secondary.
Logo exists. Flow chart concept exists. Intent outline exists.
Site should include galleries, Q & A, ugly or funny signs international encouraging global participation, monitored forum for praise and constructive criticism.
NSL works for the client. Objective is to provide premium quality products of ALL TYPES anywhere, for less than market value, from recognized industry leaders (Links), in a timely manner, with transparency, integrity.
Concept is not new but the difference is degree of honesty, commitment to best value, truthfulness of the statement that 'we work for you'.
Given the challenge of website design, we recognize that a turnkey solution can cost us thousands. In an effort to be consistent with our high client standards, we also intend to be extremely loyal and honest and appreciative of the competition winner over the long term as well as anyone who 'tied' or came close second.
To this end, we feel that $500.00 US is a fair incentive to a competition winner whose 'brainchild' is used in whole or in part with two revisions. To be fair to ourselves, we would not be expected to pay anything if the competition generates nothing that excites us. We will work with DesignCrowd to define that.
As with our future clients, we will be fair, not greedy and honest in our dealings with vendors including designers who want to work with us moving forward. Your excitement will show in your work. Hopefully, our excitement is evident and contagious.
It is not in our best interest nor Designcrowd's best interest to make the contest entries public information due to what we perceive as being a unique competitive template to virtual sign supply. It is suggested that promotion of the creative material produced by entrants be limited to the home page and not the detailed inner 'beauty' of the concept.
I will provide all competitors with all answers to any questions that come up so that a fair playing field is created.
Thank You,
Ken

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I like some of what I have seen and agree to commit to pay a winner. I still don't feel comfortable saying that the winner will end up doing the site development but will act more as a consultant to flush out their ideas.
I still need to see a format that grabs the viewer immediately and draws them through all of our products then all of our services.
Products are more important. Don't worry about the photos. We will change them but do use photos online that grab you.
Hope this helps motivate. Have a great weekend. Think signs.
Ken
