Hello,

I just received an invite to your contest (I'm not sure if it was sent by you or if it is an automated message. Anyway, I am considering joining this contest but I did not see much in the brief about what you are looking for. I see the description for what you do. Is there a particular idea you have?

What has me a bit apprehensive is that, I'm afraid that this might end up being a "rooftop" contest. We cannot see the entries, so I'm assuming that a contest like this is already a cluster of proverbial "overused generic designs", by this I mean

Please Google images for "roof logos" or "real estate logos". The rooftop has become so common place that it has become the definition of "generic and overused" in graphics and marketing. You will also find many articles about this as well as design forums complaining about "designers" pushing these designs that do the opposite of creating a brand. It actually makes the trademark get lost in a sea of all the same marks. In fact, most rooftops have been simply copied and the pitch changed,, the thickness changed or simply adding more roofs making for a ridiculous looking dwelling. The last one is the most horrific, though they do stand out more. LOL (not the type a branding a company needs.)

Anyway, please let me know if this is what you are looking for? I rather not join if it means selling you a rip-off of cheap clipart that you could have gotten for off the internet (FOR FREE). If on the other hand you are actually looking for something original, then I'm in.
