Brief de Design de Logo

I lead a sales team of mostly women who sell educational children's books. Our team name is the Change Makers It comes from the idea that we change children's lives by impacting literacy and also change our own lives and other lives through our work. I'm looking for an inspiring logo that can be used on social media, t-shirts, etc. I currently have a beautiful logo that a friend designed, and I LOVE the symbolism, but it's a little cheesy and "old lady-ish." It's also very rectangular. I'm uploading it as an example. But I would like a whole different approach.
