Brief de Design de Logo

We new modern, professional logo for our electrical and plumbing engineering company called Edifice. Our current logo is blue and grey, we would like to keep the same colour scheme however we are also open to suggestions on other colour schemes' we've considered changing to a multi-coloured logo (see images) . Our company is currently in the residential/domestic market however we are slowly moving to more commercial works so we need a logo that would attract both domestic and commercial clients. The final logo should have the company name and the tag line electrical and plumbing engineers underneath. The logo will be used on all our company stationary as well as website, uniforms and vans so it needs to be something simple and easy to reproduce in mono as well as colour. We don't really want anything tacky with taps or plugs in the logo.
