We need a logo design for our new documentary film Veterans Journey Home (working title), a one hour program for TV,. It will tell the story of the 1.7 million returning US veterans and what it takes for them to successfully transition back into civilian life. Whether officially diagnosed with PTSD or not, most vets carry the psychic scars of “moral injury” and will carry the battle within long after the bullets stop flying. How might they be “re-civilianized” through trainings that are as effective as the ones that first turned them into soldiers? How about a “Reverse Boot Camp?” What might that do for the 250,000 now in prisons? The 500,000 who are homeless? The 350,000 who are unemployed? What about for the 22 who commit suicide everyday? Our film will show how they can be healed and maybe even saved.

That soldiers can effectively transition back into moral, mission-centered civilians, integrating their often horrific experiences in battle, shedding the ghosts of war, into a wholesome and productive life with family, friends, co-workers, and community.
