Brief de Design Étiquette

What we want:
We would like you to provide us with 2 design concepts for our beauty range.

Our beauty range is ethical, 100% natural, organic, handmade, vegan, cruelty free, palm oil free, free from harmful chemicals, halal certified (alcohol free), eco-friendly, conscious, award winning and we donate 20% of profits to charity. We are a family business and we are pioneers in creating natural & ethical beauty products. You can find out more about us at phbethicalbeauty.co.uk.

We would like you to create 2 packaging options for us that communicate these key messages in a modern, vibrant, creative, fun and yet sophisticated way. We want you to create something totally different to what we’re currently doing. A concept that really communicates our key messages and helps us to stand out.

The 2 concepts you create should be presented as 3D mock-up of the packaging and boxes. Please see the example images ‘PHB Anti-aging Moisturiser’ and ‘PHB Anti-aging Cleanser’ attached. Please present your designs in this way.

You will need to create 2 concepts suitable for the following printing techniques:
1) UV Print onto Glass Packaging
Printed design for 50ml Glass Moisturiser Jar
Printed design for 100ml Glass Cleanser Bottle
Outer Boxes for moisturiser & cleanser to compliment the print design.

Considerations for printing onto glass:
The design needs to be more simple. We can only use simple drawings/illustrations. Writing/logo cannot be too small (6pt text minimum). Preferably 2-3 colours maximum.
The outer boxes will be made from cardboard and should reflect the ethical & eco-friendly nature of our range.

2) Labels applied to Glass Packging
Printed design for 50ml Glass Moisturiser Jar
Printed design for 100ml Glass Cleanser Bottle
Outer Boxes for moisturiser & cleanser to compliment the label design.

Considerations for printing onto label:
This can be a more creative/intricate design. We can use images / more detailed illustrations on labels.
The outer boxes will be made from cardboard and should reflect the ethical & eco-friendly nature of our range. The outer box design for these boxes should be different to #1.

Please find an example image of the Green Frosted Glass Packaging we intend to use attached. Please note on the bottle we will use black pumps with gold finishes. We have not decided on the moisturiser jar cap colour (black or gold) yet as this may be affected by our final design (e.g. label applied to jar lid or decoration to jar lid). We welcome you to include an option for this in your overall design concept.

Colour Coding:
We have 5 skin care ranges which are defined by 5 different colours. Currently, we use a very similar design for each range, with the colour coding providing the key points of difference (please see Fig.3 example).
We would like you to continue in with this colour coding theme, however feel free to do so in any matter and with any colours you choose.

Images/Illustrations:
Please note we are open to you using natural images/illustrations in the designs that reinforce our natural/ethical/handmade stance and/or ingredients in the product.

Future Projects Together:
If we choose your label design then we would like to begin a relationship with you for designing our product labels, outer boxes and catalogue and this may also extend to artworks for print & social media advertising campaigns.
