Brief de Web Design
I'm looking for a major redesign for my existing photographic art website: www.uncommonvision.com. Here are my complaints about the current layout: 1) It looks unsophisticated (we will, of course, delete the "sale" banner; 2) the images are vastly too small when displayed in the gallery; 3) I'm not wild about the navigation; 4) the Flash has got to go; 4) there has to be an easy way to significantly enlarge the photos for viewing; 5) the copy is a bit over the top - we will be rewriting it. Other than that, it's a good site :)
The market for the photography is principally commercial applications - interior designers, etc. who are concerned with how these images will look in hospitals, office buildings, etc. The leading competitor in this space has a much better site: www.henrydomke.com. Another site worth viewing is: www.scanlan.com. This site is much more akin to my site.
We will be reducing the number of photos available. Total count will be approximately 400. The largest collection will be the "digital garden" - close up photography of flowers, plants, etc.

I am amazed at the quality of the submissions - which has made the selection process very, very difficult. Each of you should be very proud of the quality of work you produce. Beyond this web-site, which is a "sideline" for me, I run a large marketing organization....and have shared these submissions with all of my colleagues who were duly impressed. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to work with you on a differentp project!
