Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo for a new tool which I am developping independently within my own company. I am crowdsourcing as I will want to design it entirely independently before presenting it to the CEO and the board of directors.

The tool is called "Vanilla" and is a highly automated algorithm that valuates financial products (called derivatives) with mathematical models. The details are not important, but it is called vanilla because of the "easy" products in the industry are called vanilla (more complicated products can not be automated).

Long story short, I need a logo which can/should follow the EY logo colors (cf attached) and if necessary also the fond (although i am keen on changing it a bit, but it should still be associable with the EY logo). One idea is to have the word "Vanilla" written in grey with a thick layer of yellow ice-cream (yellow-grey like the company logo) dripping down. Another thing one could do is to have the V of vanilla as an ice-cream cone. Although this is a corporate world, I would like it to be playful (as the topic is rather "boring").

I would welcome any original ideas outside of what I proposed above. This is the first time we use crowdsourcing and if we like your design (and the service) there are many more opportunities down the pipeline so I suggest taking this attempt serious.
