Brief de Design de Logo

We want a logo design for "Gray County Disposal Service". We are a small company in a rural area with a name that's too big! We want a shortened version used on our logo. We collect household waste from about 1,000 rural customers & 4 small towns with rear-load garbage trucks. We're using a medium-dark blue ink on our current decals & truck lettering, and would probably like to stay with that color or a combination of colors including dark blue.
For hot-stamping the sides of carts we need a simple but clear design that will work well in white on a dark background. Truck outlines (if they're rear-load design), letter pictures (using our initials), desert plant sihouettes (we're in a semi-arid region of the U.S.), etc, are all ideas we've thought of, but will consider a variety of options.
I'm uploading an image of the decal we use only for reference- we aren't necessarily asking for that shape.
