Brief de Design de Logo

logo/wordmark design for consulting firm named Fathom.

Themes for what the company does are: understand - design - execute -

And they will be done with real depth which I may express as:
- deep insight
- deep strategy
- deep design
- deep execution

I am looking for a clean, simple and crisp logo/wordmark which portrays clarity of thought and understanding.

I can imagine it is a black logo, but happy to consider other options. I do not want to spend significant amounts on stationary, web design etc. so I figure a simple black logo will lend itself to ease of production.

Why fathom, well I like the word as it primarily associates to understanding and depth. It is an actual specific measure of length too.
