Brief de Design de Flyer
West Chester University of Pennsylvania has designed a new certificate in educational technology. The summary is below:
The goal of the new Educational Technology Certificate is to support professional educators with technology that connects them to data, content, resources, expertise and learning experiences that empower and inspire them to provide more effective learning for all learners. (Include this in the flyer?)
Certificate Requirements (18 credits total)
EDT 500 (3): Integrating Educational Technology for Effective Instruction
EDT 510 (3): Instructional Design with Emerging Technology
EDT 517 (3): Technology & Universal Design for Learning (cross listed EDA 517)
EDT 530 (3): Digital Media Production and Storytelling
EDT 540 (3): Online Teaching and Learning
_________(3): 3-credit approved elective
We are looking for a professional, cutting-edge flyer for promotion of the certificate. It is a fully online certificate for teachers, and we emphasize technology integration, mobile pedagogy, and emerging technology (virtual worlds, augmented reality, serious gaming, etc.).

| To answer your questions: 1 - Yes, we don''t want all that information on the flyer, maybe just highlights. The exact information isn''t important as we can always change that. The design is very important that it matches our theme - an innovative, online, graduate certificate. We would like to have several areas to put in text: a tag line, bulleted points, more information area, and possibly and area for a QR code or other app reference. 2 - The flyer should be 8.5'''' by 11'''', Standard size in the USA. Don''t get the text too close the margins for printing purposes. 3- No, we don''t want the West Chester University logo, just the name. Using the logo requires special approval and is frequently NOT on our promotional materials. (Other notes) We want the name "Educational Technology Certificate" to have a distinctive look, as it is a very general term. Feel free to ask any more questions and I''ll answer as soon as I can! |

- There is no official logo for the certificate, but we are looking for a distinctive design of the title "Educational Technology Certificate". Our university colors are purple and gold, but we also use a lot of black in our printed documents.
-we must be able to edit the text, for example contact information and web address. This is a work in progress.

- We want to emphasis the convenience of taking classes online at a trusted institution like West Chester University. We also want prospective students to know we are cutting edge, and using some of the latest educational technology.

- The design should not include pictures of students in computer labs. We want to get away from the old school look. No pictures of students sitting in rows. No pictures of teachers at the front of the room, but rather them working side-by-side with students.
