How many pieces will be considering over complicated ? Would 100 do the trick?or less than 100? or less than 50?

I would say not more than 15 pieces. However, if you look in the pictures closely, you can see that some details are actually stitching, and some are even paint. So it doesn't need to be overly simple. Do a search of 3 Sprouts and see as a good example.

Does the bg have to be white?

Yes.

Hi, I should mention, to draw one planet (including Sun) per drawing. You do not need to draw every planet, but choose approx. 6 planets that you can design well.
