Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo for a company I'm starting named "Small Town Surveying and Mapping." The goal of this company is to provide competitively priced surveying and GIS services to Cities and towns. But also be able to survey for private businesses as well. I have the latest equipment and the knowledge to use it.

I want a logo that can have multiple uses such as an Icon. It needs to be work as grayscale as well. Some of the uses of this will end up in black and white. It will appear without the text on occasion. I will absolutely provide any feedback for adjustment. I know this is slightly vague but the truth being I'm a surveyor not a designer so I want to be presented with someones vision and then adjust it to meet my needs.
