Brief de Design de Logo

Hi there, Im looking for a fresh, modern, and recognizable logo for my family business of 27 years. Im only 27 years old myself and my Grandfather started the business in 1986 then my father took over then eventually me. The business name is G&M Craftsman Cabinets... The G&M stands for Graham (my grandfather) and Marion (my grandmother). Ive got big plans and new ideas for the business and basically the logo and the workshop external colours are dull and old and its time to make it fresh and modern. Im very enthusiastic and passionate about my job. Ive been to London and have worked for big workshops there manufacturing and installing cabinets and joinery for the rich and famous in London, Spain, France even Russia. The family business is located on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia which is a bit slow with industry at the moment but wont be forever, when it starts to get busy again id like to be a very recognizable business. We have alot of beaches etc and its a chilled lifestyle. Id like a logo to reflect the place i live as well as my experience doing world class joinery overseas which sends a message to those who see it as there getting the best the Sunshine Coast has to offer. We are a small business but have a good name due to fantastic customer service and quality. I'd like to see various eye catching colours and some silver maybe too. Also designed to last my generation as boss :). The logo will be used for new signs on the workshop as well as Car vinyls, business cards and to update the website.
