Brief de Design de Logo

I have an existing logo that i want to refresh. I want to retain the colors as far as possible but shorten the company name as displayed in the logo. The current logo can be viewed at www.sterlingsearchpartners.com. I want the logo to offer a consistent brand across different business divisons, such as Sterling Recruit, Sterling Search, Sterling Banking, Sterling Technology etc. I like the Stobart logo (eddie Stobart logistics) completely different industry but I like the logo design concept.
