Brief de Design de Logo
We need a title logo for the independent film Bardo Blues.
This will serve as the main logo for the DVD cover, poster and opening title credit.
Here is the film’s synopsis:
Bardo Blues is the story of a man coming to grips with tragedy by escaping to paradise. Set in Thailand, Bardo Blues follows Jack as he struggles to learn the truth about the mother that abandoned him and his own reason for existing.
Weaving spiritual awakenings and soulful struggle, Bardo Blues will leave you questioning everything you think you know about who you are, where you came from and where you're going.

Doit avoir
- A title logo that represents our movie in a subtle and elegant way but points toward the central concept of the movie. It must have the words Bardo Blues and it must be the type of thing that we can put on posters, media jackets and the main titles of the movie.
Bien d'avoir
- I think that a good idea would revolve around the clash between good and bad, heaven and hell, day and night. This is the central point of chaos in the movie, and if the logo can represent that then I think it could embody the thematic elements well. It needs to be subtle though. No devil horns and angel wings would work here. Having a sun and a moon worked in there graphically would possibly be great.
- The font itself should feel “Thai.” It should feel a bit exotic and have a certain flare to it that identifies it somewhat immediately as being a foreign story.
- We have played with other religious symbolism as well and would be possibly open to incorporating that. Something that has to do with Buddhism makes the most sense, because Buddhist ideals are at the center of the spiritual conversation and so is the concept of Bardo.
Ne doit pas comporter
- No devil horns and angel wings would work here. We do not want yin and yang to play a part.
