Boy, do we have a challenge for you!
We are a non-profit organization based in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Until recently our organization, The Clements Centre Soociety, has primarily served two main groups - children and youth with developmental challenges and adults who are developmentally disabled.
We are looking at re-branding our organization into two centres:
the Sundrops Centre for Child Development in the Cowichan Valley and the Clements Centre for Community Living in the Cowichan Valley. Our new tagline will be "Inspiring Beyond Belief".
The senior management would like to see our current logo re-worked, cleaned and brightened up and they would like to be able to use it for both the children and adult's programs - possibly as two pieces of a puzzle, so they can be used independently (to represent each centre) or put together to represent the entire Clements Centre Society as a whole.
We would like to see the use of bright, cheery colours and child friendly designs on the children's portion. We are using "sundrops" as a fitting metaphor to describe these children who are like drops of sunshine from above - although their journeys through life have some heartache and broken dreams, they also bring a great deal of joy and love.
For the adult community living portion, the current logo could be cleaned and brightened up so that the two portions can be seamlessly integrated.
As we are a non-profit, we need to keep our printing costs low, so the logo would need to look as stunning in black and white (for newspaper and some print media) as it is in colour (web and print)!
