Brief de Design de Logo

I am after a new logo and business cards for my hair salon. I have been using a basic one off vista print and now am after something that's more us.
We live in a mining town in WA (tom price) and need something fun yet elegant. Something that screams, come into our salon so it doesn't quite feel like we live in the middle of the desert.. Our colour theme inside is turquoise (however the whole salon as just decided it's definitely more bluey than a true turquoise) black and white...

Our target market if it were based on age would be 25-35. Mainly a female clientele but we still have alot of males in for hair cuts as we are a mining town
