Brief de Design de Logo

We need a logo for a conference that we are running on the Gold Coast (Australia) in July 2017. This is a small international conference held every two years, and the first time that it will be held in Australia. It involves international researchers and clinicians who work in the field of patellofemoral pain. Patellofemoral pain, or kneecap pain, is a common condition that causes pain at the front of the knee (around the kneecap), and typically affects young active people.

We would like a logo that captures an image of the patellofemoral joint (kneecap), something that captures the Gold Coast / beach / Australian location, and were thinking of navy blue and orange colouring. I have attached several images that were used for the 2013 conference in Vancouver, which combined the Vancouver skyline with an image of the patellofemoral joint. We also quite like the font of the "pf" in the circle.

If possible, we would also like to be able to adapt the logo for future conferences.
