Brief de Design de Figurine

Seeking an illustration/design for Mathnasium, a company with over 1,000 math only Learning Centers around the world (www.mathnasium.com).

Mathnasium is looking for a series of characters, MATH BEASTS, that personify math and can have mathematical elements in their construction.

The idea is that these math beasts may look a little frightening at first glance but once you get to know them they become your best friend. You should be inspired by great childrens’ book illustrations, like Maurice Sendak's "Wild Things".

A character that at first seems dangerous or frightening and then turns out to be your ally is the oldest trope in children's fiction. Remember Roald Dahl's BFG, or almost any of the antagonist in his other books? How about ET in Spielberg's "ET: The Extra-Terrestrial”?

We're looking for inspired drawings that will work as animation and print and appeal to children and adults. We want something special that catches the eye. All at once familiar and out of this world.

Once we find the right design we will commission further work based on your characters.
