Brief de Design de Logo

We need to update our current logo for our company. We have been in business since 1986 with a great reputation so I want to be careful not to change to much and completely loose our brand identity but it is time for a fresh, more updated logo design. I would like to drop the logo wording to include just "Golden Eagle Construction" and no longer have the "Inc." or the "Helena, MT" portion. I also want to make sure the image used represents a golden eagle or generic eagle image and not a bald eagle as it currently does. I have seen some designs that incorporate just an abstract eagle into the logo and I am wondering if we could make that type of design work? I have attached our current logo and several sample images that caught our eye.
