Brief de Design de Logo
The current name of my real estate brokerage company is Home & Farm Properties. This name was selected because we are based in a more rural part of Florida in which the word farm means more "equine property" than planted crops.
Over the coming months, we are expanding our operations to other parts of the state. In light of this, we need a new name and a new logo that supports the increased scope of this new corporate entity.
The name we have selected is Meridian Properties.

- The word meridian has some interesting yet essentially disparate definitions. They are: 1.
- Geography.
- a great circle of the earth passing through the poles and any given point on the earth's surface.
- the half of such a circle included between the poles.
- 2.
- Astronomy. the great circle of the celestial sphere that passes through its poles and the observer's zenith.
- 3.
- a point or period of highest development, greatest prosperity, or the like.
- 4.
- (in acupuncture) any of the pathways in the body along which vital energy flows.
- Although on first pass it could seem like any design for the logo would need to be rooted in the geographic definition of meridian because we are a real estate company, the third definition above hints at an important goal for our shared efforts. The final definition above, relating to the flow of energy through the human body adds an interesting dimension as well, but I don't know how it would translate into the logo for our company.
