Brief de Design de Logo

We are a small local online news site for the Hopatcong Lake Region, which features the largest lake in New Jersey USA. Our current graphic logo (attached) features a sunrise over the lake, but is too dark for the white background of the site.
What we are looking for is an abstract logo that fits our white background (see www.MyLakeNews.com).
What we need is …
1. Logo in High res that can fit the top of the site 800 x 105
2. Logo that is square that can be used within articles, business cards etc.

• Primary: Hopatcong Lake Business News
• Secondary: MyLakeNews.com

Thoughts about the design: While not meant to limit your creative thoughts, here is what we envision for the logo.
1. Must be business appropriate (not cartoonish)
2. Must somehow tie news into the design
3. Features a lake (maybe abstract waves “~” across the bottom)
4. Features a small sun rising or setting, your choice
5. Small boat, sail or motor boat your choice
6. The above requited text
7. Background is white
8. EPS is the desired final format
