Brief de Design de Logo

A logo for a new consulting company is required. The company name is Cognitive Effects; we currently have no logo and no brand colours identified.

The niche of services the company will provide will be using behavioural psychology principles and design thinking tools to design customer experiences for organisations. Our process will include understanding the buying processes and mindsets of our clients’ customers, and then overlaying relevant principles from the field of psychology to make the experiences more suitable to the customers, and also to tap into consumers' inherent motivations to increase the likelihood that they progress through experiences (eg a product buying experience, or a loan application experience etc).

The experience design will look to influence consumer’s (ie customers of our clients) decisions (ethical standards applied) at various points of the process so as to benefit our clients. The key focus of our business will be to have the experiences we design influence consumer decisions to the benefit of our client organisations, and getting measurable results in the form of increased sales, or increased conversion rates etc.

Elements to be satisfied:
- be simple and easy to read / understand with a quick glance.
- clear background so it can be used on a dark or a white page.
- Not a lot of different colours to be used. It needs to be simple.
- be bold / memorable. It needs to stand out on a page. (Please do not interpret this as bold like an NFL team logo that tries to look tough).
- look professional and inspire confidence. Our clients will be Corporates, and will come from various industries so the logo needs to have that versatility.
- while looking professional, it needs to have a modern and positive feel….ie it should not look like a traditional law firm logo. Likewise, it should not attempt to look like Newer, softer fonts are preferable.
- the business name "Cognitive Effects" needs to be in the logo. This brief is not just asking for an icon design. I have no preference for lower case and/or uppercase in general, although I would like to see a version that has the starting c as lowercase.
- use the tagline “better experiences. Influence decisions.”
- an icon of some kind is to be included in the logo.
- If possible, could the icon invoke thoughts of ‘influencing decisions’ or ‘more people progressing through a process’? This is a ‘nice to have’ rather than a ‘must have’. I’m completely open to ideas on the icon.
