Brief de Web Design

Launching a business called "FXCH", a foreign exchange “Clearing House”.

We need urgently:
- business logo
- Wordpress 4.5.2 responsive homepage + template
- headed paper templates for LibreOffice + Google Docs
- business cards
- e-Mail signature

Note: only design, will do the html integration ourselves.

Brief & guidelines:
Our target audience are financial institutions (medium to very large), some very savvy, some more conservative. Corporate image needs to be clean and trustworthy, yet the business is a disruptor concept based on "blockchain" technology that comes from the Bitcoin world.
The difficulty is to mix the Fintech attraction of cryptocurrencies and blockchain with the seriousness of investment banking finance.

=> Big no-no: cannot look like a retail foreign exchange business offering! FXCH is strictly an institutional service, no cute banknote design or graphics suggesting travel service etc.

50% Technology "Fintech"
20% Financial markets utility
15% Foreign Exchange
10% Settlement security
5% Investment Banking service

Explanations:
* Technology "Fintech" -> FXCH is a startup, and fits the "Fintech" profile. The Clearing House uses new technology (Blockchain) to settle FX transactions between participants.
* Financial markets utility -> A "Clearing house" is a central counterparty that helps effect all payments between participants by being the central hub for all transactions.
* Foreign Exchange -> Our service is exclusively focused on Spot Foreign Exchange
* Settlement security -> The role of the clearing house is to guarantee that everyone gets paid. It collects security deposits from participants to protect all sides from anyone's default. A good clearing house is rock solid and trusted by everyone.
* Investment Banking service -> FXCH only offers its service to institutions. Accredited investors only !

Letter based logo (FXCH obviously) and optionally full words "FX Clearing House" as well. Don't worry about being BORING, this is not Coca-Cola and we don't need to appeal to the general public. Need to be easily recognised though...

Wordpress 4.5.2 compatible responsive homepage + template
Our web engineer uses that Wordpress version. The homepage is a "long scroll" with most info in sections as most startups in Silicon valley. Additional pages (template) added and accessible via the navigation menu.

Headed paper LibreOffice + Google Docs
Consistent branding templates for text editors LibreOffice and Google Docs.

Business cards
Either single or 2 sided, bit more freedom for the design. We need space for ->
Phone: mobile: e-Mail: Skype: Address: SIP: Slack: Google:
Could include a QR code on the back side for the tech savvy (example file attached).

e-Mail signature
HTML signature that we will use with Thunderbird, containing details of the business card plus possibly a short legal disclaimer.

Only Financial site we don't dislike too much. It is clean and simple, not too cramped and feels friendly. Not very high-tech though...

=> Careful not to fall into "The Matrix" trap. Technology mastery, not MYSTERY. The presence of numbers could allow to put recognisable FX prices if need be. We don’t like dark/black backgrounds in general...
