We need a log designed for a new start-up company based in Phoenix, AZ, specializing in web/cloud-based software solutions to drive efficiency and improve quality within the new home construction industry. Our primary customers will be: 1) energy (electric/gas) utilities, 2) new home builders (national), and 3) home inspection companies.
We'd like to see a logo that incorporates our company name but also includes an icon of some sort that is simple yet contemporary and reflects our desire to drive efficiency. We'd like to stay away from the "green solutions" trend as we have more to offer than just energy savings. Something like the IEEE logo (http://www.ieee.org/index.html) appeals to us.
Our color preference would be the colors present in the Microsoft PowerPoint "Clarity" theme with oranges and grays, but we are open to other options. We'd like to stick with standard PANTONE colors for ease of printing. We would also like to avoid heavy use of 3-D effects and shading for printing purposes as well, but we'd love to see variations with that included if possible.
