Brief de Design de Logo
The Migrant Scholar is an upcoming website that is aimed at students who seek to pursue higher education in the Western World, and particularly in the United States.
I seek a logo that will go on the banner of the website.
The logo that I envision will have a 4:1 ratio or 3:1 ratio (length:height)
The first 25% (for 4:1 or 33% for 3:1) of the logo (on the left) would need to have the site logo. It is important that this part of the logo is a perfect square. I would envision something that has rounded edges, and is crisp and elegant. I would like to be able to use this part of the logo as an icon (favicon) for the website, as an avatar, and as a Facebook and Twitter avatar.
The remaining 75% (for 4:1, or 67% for 3:1) of the logo (on the right) would have the words "The Migrant Scholar" written up in a stylised manner befitting the logo design. A variant may also include the tag line "Helping Smart Young People Go Places" - but this is dependant on how the logo looks.
I would like the logo to appear clean and crisp, and suitable for use on both dark and light backgrounds.
The target market is for people who are well educated and in the age group of 18 to 45 - both male and female.
The colours used should be youthful and energetic, yet elegant with a sense of gravity and decorum.
Please avoid using very American symbols such as Stars and Stripes, the Statue of Liberty, or Eagles. Please also stay away from images of a student with a backpack, or laptop. Consider abstract designs that convey a sense of aspiration and getting somewhere with one's career and life, and a sense of achieving one's dreams.

Much appreciate all of you who have spent timeworking on a design for this.
I would like to draw attention to something that Ihad found quite common - several designs incorporate the word"Migrant" in a different colour. This will not work as it drawsattention to the word migrant which is not the intent. The community being builtis one for young individuals who seek to pursue higher education and careeropportunities overseas.
Some suggested colour palettes include:
- Black/Yellow
- Dark Grey/Yellow
- Dark Brown/Yellow
- Black/Red
- Dark Grey/Red
