You have an interesting project but your brief is a bit vague. You mention that the site needs some functionality (new coaches, new programs ect ect.) but these are really handled by plugins which can be bundled with themes sometimes but really require specialist development.

I don't think I can work on this project but I noticed you have made your payment guaranteed on the feedback of what is effectively a troll, someone looking to get you committed to paying even if you don't get the outcome you desire, which given the information here I would say is highly likely. I would advise you to refer the matter to the DC admin so that you can remove the guranteed payment until someone shows you show results, it protects you alot more as your project is quite complex.

I was also advise you that you need to consult with someone who knows what they are talking about when it comes to wordpress development and reconsider your brief. You might get a good design here but (for the reasons mentioned before) you will likely not get a good outcome for your needs.

Thank you for your comments. It might be that we misunderstand what constitutes a Wordpress design.

We are happy with the functionality provided by the themes that we mentioned. For example:

We don't need the designer to create the functionality. This theme has all the required plugins. But we do need the designer to take that theme and then change the look so that it matches the colours and design we want. Is that not something that can be done?

What we are paying for is for someone to show a really good design that can then be used to alter an existing theme which has all the functionality we need.

Well yes this is very possible, it would involve purchasing the chosen theme and then creating what is known as a 'child' theme, the designer would be able to have full control over the design and maintain functions/updates.

Apologies for not understanding this before, I though the sites were meant as inspiration rather than as a starting point. I would love to be involved in this comp. as I specialise in Wordpress customisation, it was only the functionality aspect that put me off...

Are there some themes that are easier to make child themes for? There are probably 3 or 4 gym based themes that have the functionality we want but if one is easier we are happy to buy whatever theme is wanted.

To create a child theme in itself is a fairly simple process, having on control over the design depends on how the site is coded. As a rule of thumb I would say that all themeforest themes are very good in terms of being customisable but if you know what your doing then any site can be used. Is there one in particular you would like to see made into a 'child' theme and I can demonstrate?

Getfit seems to be a really nice one but it doesn''t say whether or not the classes and trainers are done via custom post types. (This is what we want)
