Brief de Design de Logo

Treehouse Laboratory has a wide mandate, is a bit of an idea incubator. We build great mobile apps, and also have projects, for example, in materials science for which we're pursuing patents. To that end, we were thinking of imagery that could evoke or encompass science and art.

One idea to get you thinking: DaVinci's work is so iconic, so feel free to use it as a launching point for your ideas. We don't need a straight transliteration of his notebooks. But what is inspiring about his notebooks is that they were a free place to play - you get the sense of a mind at play, marked by curiosity and interested in exploration. He was curious about everything from weaponry to reproduction to beautiful art.

So anything that updates him and is in that spirit could be one general direction. What initially comes to mind: perhaps the parchment style, the crispness of line, graphite on paper - but more interestingly, the sense of looking at mechanical things in an aesthetic way. It's important for the Treehouse Laboratory logo/wordmark to feel bold, stand out, be current.

Any of this could be a jumping off point. But it is only one idea we came up with, and we are not designers. So if you have a great concept and look, we're completely open to your creativity. Surprise us at Treehouse Laboratory. Thank you!

• Thank you to all who have submitted so far! No need for beakers to be incorporated into design. I realize this is visual shorthand for "science" - but Treehouse is more an "idea laboratory".
• No need to see pieces of a literal full sized house. For those participating who may not have encountered one before: a treehouse is a small, usually wood structure, built up in a tree - it's for children to play in. Spiritually, it is somewhere you go to let your imagination be at play. That's part of why our small company is called Treehouse.
