D-Prize wants to inspire new entrepreneurs to launch poverty fighting businesses around the world, and needs a logo to help!
The Business:
D-Prize is a competition that provides seed funding for entrepreneurs to help launch their new businesses. There are a lot of business plan competitions in the world, but we stand out - all the ventures we support are focused on *expanding* and *distributing* poverty solutions in the developing world.
The Audience:
We get excited about *distribution*, and want to encourage other people to get excited too. Our primary audience is ridiculously smart, amazing driven, and creative. They are graduate students, people with foreign service or international development experience, Peace Corps people, and entrepreneurs seeking their next opportunity. They think a lot about starting new ventures that can impact the world, but probably don't think as much as they should about distribution.
The Use:
The logo will be used on our website, and may be included on websites of our partners, like graduate programs. We do not plan any significant use of print media, business cards, etc.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Thank you for sharing a design for D-Prize's new logo! I have been absolutely amazed by the concepts submitted so far.
The rest of my leadership team wants the chance to look at these designs and offer some thoughts. I am extending the deadline by a few days to give them a chance to do so.
Again, thanks for all your help!

Doit avoir
- The concept we'd like to explore is using seeds from a dandelion head as a graphic metaphor for distribution.
One idea includes a graphic next to text. We envision an image of a dandelion head, with several of the seeds floating off to the right. Next to the graphic (and under the floating seeds) is text spelling "D-Prize".
Alternatively, we would be interested in a graphic where there is no dandelion head, bur instead the "D" may have parts floating away (as if it were made of dandelion seeds).
Our tagline under the logo is: "Distribution equals development". It would be great to see a design that includes that text.
Bien d'avoir
- I am particularly interested in a logo that is more or less box shaped. Our current logo is one line of text - huge width and no height. This has been difficult to incorporate onto other websites.
