Brief de Design de Logo

Mayan Monkey Mijas
Artisanal Chocolate Factory

Hello Lovely Designcrowd People!

I need you to help me come up with a great design for Mayan Monkey, an artisanal chocolate factory that we are setting up in Mijas (one of southern Spain´s most popular pretty hilltop villages).
Our target public will mainly be tourists who wander in off the street lured by the enticing aromas. They get to see the chocolate factory in operation - watching the whole process of chocolate-making from start to finish from the other side of a glass partition, and can then buy from our exciting range of handcrafted chocolates (product ranges include “Spain in Chocolate”/ “Healthy Chocolate”/ “Ancient Chocolate”/ “Around the World in 15 Chocolate Bars”/ “The Chocolate of Love”).
Note: this is our first time working with Designcrowd. All going well, we will come back again to get the product line packaging designed here ?

MAYAN MONKEY: a bit of background to help contextualize the brand name. Were it not for monkeys, we would not have chocolate since it was monkeys who discovered that the cocoa pod contained edible fruit. Man copied monkey – the Mayans being one of the first civilizations to cultivate and consume chocolate (xoco´atl – “bitter water”) – and that brings us right up to today. The name “Mayan Monkey” therefore, is a link between the chocolate we sell and its natural origins. Our company philosophy is to use organic, locally sourced and low carbon imprint ingredients, packaging and other resources as much as possible.

Btw, the attached jpg is a hawked logo that we came up with. Total bootleg. But. What comes across is the monkey-cocoa pod-cocoa tree = origin of chocolate
