Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo that is relatively simple. It can be incorporated into technical reports as a header or footer and a logo on the front page, used on business cards and on a webpage as a feature. A corproate logo for a sole trader coastal ecologist, an identifying symbol or combination of symbol and text to uniquiely identify the business, the individual in a competitive market.

The business revolves around providing objective, scientifically defensible ecological information that needs to be communicated to lay people as well as technically proficient people, some of whom will be examining the work closely and critically. We provide environmental impact assessments, monitoring results, expert witness testimony, technical reports and information and expert opinion for councils, companies and individuals to support applications for resource consent, submissions on consents and planning processes. Much of our work is supporting civil engineers to help minimise environmental impacts of projects.

We specialise in marine (coastal) ecology in New Zealand and the South Pacific and much of our work involves water quality, sediment quality sampling or collection and analysis of biological samples (crabs, shellfish, worms, etc) in estuaries, harbours and along the coast. Projects completed include marinas, bridges, causeways, reclamations, canal developments, wastewater discharges, industrial discharges, cooling water, marine farms, ferry terminals, wharves, shipwrecks, etc.

Ideally the logo should include the name of the business or its initials and the logo needs to reproduce well on photocopiers, etc. it will be used on business cards, stationery, website, invoices, technical reports, etc. it could incorporate images that represent the sea, the coast, biota (shellfish, worms, birds, fish, etc).
