Brief de Design de Logo

We need a logo design for a new company based in NYC called Root NYC. You can check us out at http://www.root-nyc.com. We are a technology infrastructure company focused on cloud computing. Our name is a play on the word - "root" which has two connotations:
1) "root" is the superuser account on Unix systems - Unix systems power a large part of the cloud
2) more commonly "root" is the origin/essence of new things, and we would like to originate the journey of companies to the cloud

We would like a design that takes into account the above two connotations of the word root, and combines it with a sense of innovation and trust.

Note: our web site has background shades of purple and aqua green, and we'd like the use of colors that don't clash with these backgrounds.
