Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo for Worn Shoe Proposals (proposal and management consulting) that can be applied to business cards, letter heads, and so on. I like stylized images, versus literal interpretations, although I may want to use a literal picture (of an old shoe) on the back of some brochures. This is a woman owned business, but the woman is not feminine: her idea of a worn shoe is a work boot or converse tennis shoes (rather than stilettos or pumps). Again, a clever stylized image that hints at shoes or laces is preferred over a literal translation. The final design should communicate serious, experience professional with a hint of whimsy.
